Ursula had the pleasure of meeting Ron Davis founder of Leadastray Designs. Ron creates unique, ornamental and functional works of art from lead. Ursula was most inspired by his handmade poppy’s, made from recycled lead bullets, which were collected from a Historical Rifle Range used by the light horse brigade and Voluntary Defence Corp dating back to 1906.
Ron is doing wonderful work and is passionate about honouring our heroes. He has designed these beautiful poppy’s to help raise money and support the Returned and Services League of Australia (RSL). RSL is dedicated to assisting current and former members of the Australian and Allied Defence Forces and their dependents in need.
